Up On Cripple Creek is a Remodeled Four Bedroom Home in Citrus Heights
As I drove to this remodeled four bedroom home in Citrus Heights, I went right by the sign for Cripple Creek. For those of us who were alive in 1969, Up on Cripple Creek was released by The Band in November of that year, when I was a senior in high school. Every time I drove past that sign, that song from The Band would pop into my head. It’s like an ear worm. Here, let me share a few words with you so it can affect you, too: Up on Cripple Creek she sends me, if I spring a leak, she mends me . . . a drunkard’s dream if I ever did see one . . . You can thank me later for this.
But what I really want to say before I got carried away is there is an actual Cripple Creek in Citrus Heights, and this remodeled four-bedroom house lies within the subdivision of Twin Creeks. This is a beautiful tree-canopied neighborhood, and you will take many turns to wind your way into that area. It’s not near a major intersection. It’s peaceful, calm and very pretty. I’ve sold a few other homes nearby recently, so I’m familiar with the subdivision. There are quite a few four bedroom homes in this area of the same square footage, but there is none for sale at the moment and none that is remodeled like this home.
The home was built in 1978 and is just shy of 1,500 square feet, per the assessor. Excellent use of interior space. Not only is there a formal living room, but also a formal dining area and a family room, plus an open kitchen. The sellers inherited the property and decided to spend the money, time and effort to fix it up. They tore out the kitchen and replaced the cabinets, appliances, counters, flooring and light fixtures. It wasn’t an inexpensive fix up, either. Instead of granite, they bought the more expensive quartz slabs for the counters and the bathroom vanities. All of the appliances are stainless.
Check out the flooring! It’s mostly Mannington Restoration, a sort of engineered wood. It’s a little different than other types of wood or laminate floors, but much prettier than your standard choices. Really compliments the soft neutral colors in the home.
This remodeled four bedroom home in Citrus Heights features a new master suite and bath with the Mannington Restoration flooring, subway title in the shower and quartz. It’s simply stunning. One of the other bedrooms also has wood-like flooring and two are carpeted. There is an indoor laundry room with hookups. The back yard is just coming back to life, after being beaten by the many rainstorms we endured in Sacramento this spring. The sellers replaced the gate in the back yard with a fence, but if you wanted to put the gate back to allow for RV parking, you certainly could.
Come to our open house on Sunday, May 7th. This will be open from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, hosted by the incredible Barbara Dow from the Elizabeth Weintraub Team. 6365 Misty Wood Way, Citrus Heights, CA 95621 is exclusively offered by Elizabeth Weintraub and Lyon Real Estate at $339K.
