Top Agent Elizabeth Weintraub Wins at Lyon Awards
Here is my big announcement: Top agent Elizabeth Weintraub recognized as a Top Producer at the Lyon Real Estate Agent Awards celebration last night, and this time she ranks #2 in the company. Last year I ranked #3, but I’ve been consistently placing in the top 1% of all agents at Lyon for a while now. I owe it all to my team members, and I’m serious, this is not just a hokey thing I’m saying. I can’t possibly work with every single home buyer in Sacramento while I’m also providing superior service to my sellers. The solution I hit upon years ago: my team members and I work together with buyers, while I focus on listings. It’s a winning formula!
Assembling the right people is key. We’ve all got each other’s backs, and I feel a tremendous amount of love between us. Each and every member of my team is a superstar in his or her own right but together we can power the electricity for a small city. The Elizabeth Weintraub Team does it all with 3 buyer’s agents, Barbara Dow (who was out of town), Amy McMullan and Josh Amolsch. The agent who won the #1 award is reported to have 10 members on her team. She works out of Cameron Park, and while I sell homes in Cameron Park, we specialize more in Sacramento, Yolo and Placer Counties.
While the top 3 agents at Lyon Real Estate gathered for a photograph, award recipient Marilyn Goff whispered to me, “Let’s put the man in the middle.” Since the fellow ranked #3, and I worked my tail off for the #2 award, I replied, “Let’s not.” Marilyn is very sweet and well meaning. No, I earned this number two spot, and I’m keeping it, thank you very much; besides, what does gender have to do with anything? But I think she’s been number one so long that she might have forgotten what it’s like to be #2. Being number two is supposed to be like Avis, we try harder. There’s no “trying” with me; I just do it.
As I left the stage and congratulated Marilyn again, the President of Lyon Real Estate, Pat Shea, probably doesn’t want to look at my face, either. But he doesn’t want to be sued if I fall down the stairs. Although, he did instruct everybody in attendance to “party hard.” Maybe if we don’t actually look at each other, it doesn’t mean we touched hands. Ew. I also received some sort of big engraved bowl with other agent’s names on it, that gets circulated around the offices each year. The person carrying that bowl asked if I wanted to take it home for the weekend to admire it. That’s something our office manager can do, don’t you think?
I’m just joking with you guys, you know. Pat Shea and I do not hate each other. Above at the far left is Josh Amolsch’s girlfriend, Victoria Geras, who is the most incredibly beautiful woman I know, and she exudes such an enormously kind heart and nature. Josh is one lucky dude. She can’t take a bad photo, unlike yours truly who can look like a munchkin at times; ya gotta love the skulls in my wrap, though. Amy McMullan, to my left, is our newest rising superstar on the Elizabeth Weintraub Team, she is going places this year. And of course, Shaundra Bradley, whom I completely adore. Shaundra keeps me on track and works miracles daily just as her general course of business.
Hey lookit, Josh and I are almost the same height in this photograph. Josh is slamming it hard this year, with quite a few closings already and more on the horizon. This year, 2016, will probably be his best year ever. At the back is Daniel Tharp, our preferred mortgage lender from Guild Mortgage. He’s the guy who makes sure our transactions close when they are supposed to close, and he provides exemplary white-glove service to our borrowers. Dan helped me to finance the home we bought in Hawaii, and did our 15-year refinance many years ago, which is almost paid off now. I trust him explicitly, and I don’t say that about very many people.
I am proud to say these people are my friends as well as my support system. No Realtor is an island, and nobody makes it like this all by herself in this business. It takes a team. Thank you guys, I love you all.
And last, I’d like to thank my husband, Adam Weintraub, who was also our awards photographer. He keeps our household running, feeds me dinner every night, takes care of our cats and never once complains when I answer my cellphone at times that are inconvenient for him. He always makes me laugh, too. When you find a guy who makes you laugh, you don’t ever let go.
