Elizabeth Weintraub successfully sold my townhome for less that what I owed and I felt confident in her abilities from the first day. A little background first. I purchased a townhome in a suburb of Sacramento as a primary residence. I purchased it with no money down on a 2/1 ARM (so I had two mortgages) and refinanced at the end of the first 2-years. I lived in it for 3 years until I converted it to a rental property when I moved out of state. It was my rental property for 2 years. Needless to say, I was not in a good position to benefit from the government programs. I purchased just before the peak, so the value of the property during the short sale was about 75% less than what I had purchased it for.

After failed attempts at loan modifications with BofA, I put my townhome on the market as a short sale in September 2010 with another agent. I got one offer in 6 months and was not impressed with the agent’s abilities, responsiveness, or concern with my situation. Elizabeth was a completely different story. I sent her an email introducing myself and included a brief description of my situation and the property; when she called me the next day, she had done her research and already had a detailed selling history of my townhome as well as the listing from the other agent.

Considering the state of home values in the Sacramento area, especially townhomes, Elizabeth was not my agent solely for the paycheck. She wants to help those in difficult situations, such as mine. She fought for me with BofA and got them to forgive both my first and second. Elizabeth is well-versed and experienced in the short sale process, and takes the time to explain details if you want to know them.

The only reason I rated her responsiveness as ‘good’ instead of ‘immediate’ is because I didn’t expect her to respond right away. When I emailed her, she responded the same day. When I called her mobile, she would usually pick up. If I left a voicemail, I heard from her by the next day. For the number of clients she has, I would rate her responsiveness as five stars if it meant ‘excellent’ instead of ‘immediate’.

Elizabeth Weintraub worked hard for me because she enjoys what she does, has the requisite tools and knows how to use them, and is an advocate for her clients.
