What do Groundhog Day and Superbowl share in 2020?
What do Groundhog Day and Superbowl share in 2020? Groundhog Day this year also coincides with the Superbowl. This is only the second time Super Bowl Sunday has fallen on Feb. 2. The last time was in 2014. On that day, Phil saw his shadow, and the Seattle Seahawks routed the Denver Broncos, 43-8. Phil’s prediction for six more weeks of winter that year was spot on, as brutally cold and snowy weather lasted well into March.

Groundhog day always reminds me of Punxsutawney Phil and the movie with Bill Murray. Waking up with the same thing happening to you each day might sound fun at first as you could live out any scenario and never hurt yourself permanently. The limitation is, of course, how do you build longstanding relationships or make a difference in your world?
The Superbowl is happening today and it is also Groundhog Day. This year the groundhog did not see his shadow which points to early spring. Has Phil, the groundhog ever been wrong? Yes, but he has been right much more of the time. It’s too bad he can’t predict the football winner or the gamblers would strike it rich. As it’s warmer in California and it’s predicted an early spring, I’m going wage on San Francisco to win. Also, I am a 9ers fan, so that was easy.
